Sister John Ann entered into eternal life on Friday, February 13, 2026, at the age of 84. She was the daughter of the late John J. and Anne (Rzepka) Mulhern and was the second of four children. In 1958, she entered the Sisters of Divine Providence and made final vows in 1966. Sister earned a BA degree from LaRoche College (now LaRoche University) and a MS degree from Clarion State University. For all of her professional life, Sister was an elementary school teacher or principal. She served at St. Anne (Castle Shannon), St. Martin (West End) and St. Bonaventure (Glenshaw) in the Pittsburgh area and in Michigan at Our Lady Queen of Peace. Most recently, Sister was at Butler Catholic School for over 20 years. Sister was predeceased by her parents and siblings: Jack J. and James R. Mulhern and Janice Jardine. She is survived by nieces and nephews, many students and friends, and the Sisters of Divine Providence and their Associates. Viewing will take place on Wednesday, February 18 from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m., with a Wake Service at 6:30 p.m. Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated on Thursday, February 19, at 3:00 p.m. All service events will take place in the Visitation Chapel of Kearns Spirituality Center, 9000 Babcock Boulevard, Allison Park, PA 15101.
